Step 1: Remove Desensitizing gel syringe tips
Grip the desensitizing gel syringe tight and twist the cap off.
Step 2.Apply Gel to Whitening Trays.
Apply a string of desensitizing gel to the front inner surface of your upper
and lower teeth bleaching trays.
Another option is dotting each tooth with the desensitizing gel, however. We
recommend one long string because it ensures the gel gets in the crevices of the
teeth.
It is NOT necessary to apply desensitizing gel to the bottom or back side of
the trays since you will not be whitening those areas. If you only have one or
several teeth that become sensitive you may opt to only apply gel to those
teeth.
You should only use approximately 1/2ml of tooth desensitizing gel per teeth
whitening trays. Similar mouths may require a little less.
Step 3: Insert Trays.
Insert trays in a forward pressing motion.
When inserting the tray on your teeth keep in mind that you want to avoid
pressing all of the gel to the bottom of the trays. Trays should be inserted in
a forward pressing motion. Not a downward dragging motion.
The forward press will cause the gel to spread on the front surface of the
teeth which is the portion of the tooth you will be whitening.
Step 4: Duration & Frequency?
The suggestion use for the desensitizing application is a min for 10-15 min.
directly following each whitening application. Additional applications of the
desensitizing gel can be used multiple times throughout the day or night as
needed.
It is best to whiten and desensitize just before bed, this promotes optimal
results and makes it easier not to eat, drink immediately after
applications.
Step 5: Do NOT Rinse or Brush!
Spit out the remaining gel, do NOT Rinse your mouth following removal of the
trays! The gel replenishes essential vitamins and minerals lost during whitening
treatment, and reduces the instance of re-staining following whitening
procedures. Constant saliva contact to the teeth is necessary for the
finalization of this process. Refrain from the consumption of food or beverage
for a minimum of 30 mins.
